Introducing ODR: An all-new dispute resolution platform by SEBI!

SEBI vide Circular no. SEBI/HO/OIAE/OIAE_IAD-1/P/CIR/2023/131 dated 31st July 2023, has launched Smart ODR Portal (Securities Market Approach for Resolution Through ODR Portal).

This platform has been set up to improve investors’ grievance redressal by providing them access to online resolution of their complaints. To raise a complaint through the ODR portal, an investor needs to follow the below steps:

  •   First lodge a complaint with the Portfolio / Investment Manager.
  •   If not satisfied, escalate the complaint through the SCORES Portal.
  •   In case you do not find a satisfactory resolution, you may raise a dispute on the ODR Portal.

However, you can initiate dispute resolution through the ODR Portal without having to go through SCORES Portal if the grievance lodged with the concerned Portfolio / Investment Manager is not resolved satisfactorily.
